[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Welcome back to Quick Wins with COM. I’m the founder of COM. We help you innovate your marketing to the new age of online marketing. Now today I am, there’s some really nice yachts behind me and I’m about to visit one of our market leader clients, where we’ll be filming a lot of content for today. It started to make me think and realise that, you know, you see these beautiful yachts in the background and you start to realise you know, what did it take for somebody to actually purchase that yacht? What did it take for somebody to be able to use that yacht on a daily basis, if they use it on a daily basis?

What did it take to actually grow your business where you can decide where you want to spend your time and what you’d like to do with it? You see, I believe that in the early stage of a business, we’ve got to be really practical. We’ve got to understand what it takes to actually get the business off the ground, what it requires and not just what money it requires but the energy, the effort, the hustle, the grind. It requires so much to sort of start taking off in the business.

If you’re focused on getting one of those or if you’re focused on travelling for the first year in your business and having that, it could look great on Instagram and you can definitely do it, you can definitely rent one of those yachts out, you can definitely go travelling but at the end of the day, it’s about is the business a sustainable success to move forward over the next few years? Will it actually get the results that you want to attain? You see, I believe in the first two years, the first six months, the first year, the first few days, the hustle is amazing and the energy required is a lot of work.

If you’re focused on lying on the beach and you’re focused on having six months off and want a million dollars at the same time in your bank account, it’s never going to work. You’re not going to achieve the success of that travel and that mindset to switch off and to actually enjoy it or you’re not going to achieve the success in business. You see, you got to make a decision. If you want long term gains and long term success in your business, if you want the yachts, if you want the travel, you got to make sure that your energy initially in your business really goes into the right place and you understand that it’s going to be the hustle, it’s going to be grinding to make sure you get it.

I’ve never seen a successful business owner being able to have the luxuries of life without the work put in. If you don’t put the work in, you just can’t achieve that. A lot of the time is that we could have yachts, we could go on travel trips, we could go on holidays, we could buy expensive cars but what people aren’t seeing is the work that’s gone in when they’re not driving that nice car or they’re not on holidays, or if they’re on holidays the amount of emails and contacts they’re getting back or emails they’re getting back to the people.

You’re not seeing the hustle, you’re not seeing the grind because it’s very hard to take a picture when you’re in that state. It’s hard to take a picture when things aren’t going right. You naturally don’t do that and why would you do that? You want to take the pictures of the things you look towards. You want to take the images and the photos of the successes in your life. When you’re starting a business and when you’re starting in that stage, just make sure you’ve got all your priorities in check. Make sure that if you want that kind of lifestyle, then don’t also ask for the million dollars at the same time.

If you want to do what you want, when you want, with whoever you want, you need to make sure that you put in the work first. You need to make sure that you get off the clouds and really focus on the work. That’s today’s episode of Quick Wins with COM. I’m Richard.
